Roxy had a fit when they went out and was absolutely shaking with excitement. I think she was a little shocked that we put birds in there; maybe she thought it was going to be HER spot, since she had spent a lot of time laying in the dirt out there.
The chickens seemed to get acclimated pretty well. We were concerned that they wouldn't go into the coop from the run but they figured it out just fine, just like they figured out everything else they've needed to know without a hen around to show them the ropes. Instinct is an amazing thing.
