Fall Bike Ride

We had originally planned to go to Fort Snelling today but we have a small cash flow problem so that got postponed. I really wanted to do something outside but a lot of walking got ruled out because of some pesky foot pain I am trying to recover from. So we chose a bike ride to Purgatory Park. After a few false starts in selecting bikes because people don’t seem to quit growing, we finally headed out.

We were richly rewarded for our efforts in getting there with a breathtakingly beautiful day – my definition of PERFECT weather – low humidity, mid 70s, light wind and that certain color of blue sky that you only get at this time of the year. We stopped at a few places on the path to rest, breathe, and of course, take pictures. Our last destination was the spot where we did sketches this Spring on our first day of homeschool.

Everyone got out their favorite drawing items and we just hung out in the sun making art together.

It was quite peaceful (except for a short BUG SCARE) and really refreshed and restored my soul.

I am extremely grateful for this life I have given.
