The Little Supper

We are listening to How to Train Your Dragon on audio for our group reading time. We are all finding this book very enjoyable. We mostly listen in the family room but if we are going on a car ride of more than 15 minutes, we pop it in the car and listen as we go down the road.

This movie is VERY different from the book. I prefer the book – it has fabulous writing, funny character names and a very compelling story line. One of our favorite characters is The Green Death, a massive dragon who has come in peace, but intends to eat all the Hairy Hooligans (Hiccup’s tribe). Hiccup has a long and entertaining conversation with The Green Death, in which the dragon nicknames Hiccup “Little Supper.” We all thought that was funny and because I like to switch up nicknames, I told Jamie I was going to start calling her Little Supper. She was fine with that.

But today, we REALLY found someone who should be called Little Supper. THIS GUY:

Mr. Jim found him shivering in the bottom of a cooler in the garage. He was so upset he was vibrating with anxiety. Poor little beast.  We spent a little time observing him before tipping the cooler on its side so he could escape. He actually stuck his head into the corner and refused to run to freedom for a while!

Run free, Little Supper – don’t come in the house, though, you fate will likely be different.
