Just for a little change of pace, we mixed up some homemade “moon dough” today. (I saw it on Pinterest) We have seen a bunch of store displays for a thing called Kinetic Sand and thought it looked interesting but I was rather put off by the $20 price tag. We’ve had “moon sand” before (someone got it for their birthday) and it was a horrible mess. This seemed tame and really cheap. It’s made out of just mineral oil and flour. It ended up being a few hours worth of fun over a couple days so it was worth the time to make it. When it went unattended for a few weeks, I didn’t feel bad throwing it out since it didn’t cost twenty dollars! It was for OUTSIDE only, since we have learned the hard way about cleaning up stuff like this!
