We had a wonderful, slightly more low-key than usual Christmas Eve this year. Because of my fatigue, I was not on the worship team and the menu was scaled back but we nevertheless had a lovely time. We are saving cheese fondue for a different occasion but the REAL food star (Christmas jell-o) remained on the menu.
We all went to church together, enjoyed our meal, opened present, ate treats like homemade cookies and chocolate fondue and enjoyed the peace and prosperity that surrounds us. Alex joined us with Juliana for the first time.
We have a million, million reasons to be grateful and celebrate. Charlie, at 4½, most embodied the joy and wonder of the Christmas season. He was so excited and caught up in the fun.
