Katie got to escape high school a year early by going through the GED process this spring through Hopkins Community Education. It was a huge load off her shoulders (and mine) to make up for some of the lost credit issues she had from her terrible experience at Connections Academy and attendance issues at Minnetonka. She was only a couple points away from getting her certificate with honors while only being 17.
We threw a party for her with friends and family and had a nice turnout with beautiful weather, plenty of help and WAY too much food on the burrito bar.
Now that everyone is a little older, they can really help get ready for events (boyfriends even help sometimes!)
