One of the best, most joyful parts of today was having a mini dance party before church. Natalie and Gloria were scheduled to help in the 2/3s room during the service so they thought they would miss out on the worship music, which is always some of our favorite for the entire year. We turned on Glorious by Martha Munizzi and started our own resurrection celebration.
The other part of the morning joy was Easter candy/presents. This year everyone got their own “Happy Cup” filled with yummy things plus a few extra other candy items.
Then..off to church. It was fabulous (aside from Lauren’s big nosebleed) and the young kids were in the service through the worship set anyway so everyone got to hear the music.
Afterwards, it was time for brunch: the hard boiled eggs we colored yesterday, cinnamon rolls and DOUBLE BACON! (expertly cooked by Jim)
Later, Justin & Sarah came over with Heidi and Charlie and Kate was able to make it out too. The weather was amazing so we had our Easter dinner casual style on the patio with our outdoor furniture and new picnic table.
