Since the weather was perfect today, we headed out with the portable grill and picnic basket to Wirth Park for lunch and some trail walking. We hung out at the park for a little while and then headed over to the Quaking Bog, which we had never seen before. It was fascinating. There was a big tom turkey there that seemed to be calling back and forth with the girls. It was interesting to see they had a bike trail built into a hill there that was almost like an alpine slide!
We finished with a walk around Eloise Butler Wildflower garden, where there were many beautiful flowers in bloom. What a great day!
