Today after a lovely backyard picnic lunch, we sat outside in the sun in the side yard for group reading time. The gymnastics mat became a nap mat. An uninvited wasp threw a little damper on the party but it was just lovely to be outside in the fresh air and sunshine. We are currently reading Wonder by R.J. Palacio and enjoying just reading without having to dissect everything or have an agenda with the story. I hope that those whose love of reading was stolen away or not well established will be blessed by these sweet times together. I know I am.
