Just to shake up a few traditions this year, we went for a completely different fireworks experience. Jim’s friend and boss, whom we call Mr. Todd, invited us to view the fireworks from his backyard overlooking the MN River Valley. We could see for many miles and saw that there were quite a few different fireworks shows going on. The closest was at Valleyfair. I think the adults thought it was much cooler than the girls did, although they did enjoy shooting off a few rockets and playing with giant sparklers. We plan to go back to the usual crowds and up-close fireworks next summer.
