I announced to the kids that we were having backwards dinner at the beach tonight. Backwards dinner is an idea I read about on a blog – dessert first!! When I explained that we were going to start dinner by going to Cub to buy IttyBitz ice cream (or mini ice cream tubs – their choice) and then go to the beach, I got some slightly surprised faces. “No, seriously! We’re getting IttyBitz and then eating at the beach!!” I said. The whooping began and it was a super fun night. We had the beach mostly to ourselves (no lifeguards yet!) and used the portable grill for hot dogs and all that goes with them.
