When the weather is wet enough and otherwise just right, we get good conditions for toads in the yard. They like to hang out in the window wells. I like that the girls are not generally scared of picking up critters like this. There are notable exceptions to this, but for many common things, they are fine picking them up. After collecting and photographing these little guys (in an ice cream bucket), they were released back into the yard.
