Jamie was honing her observational skills today when she noticed the new version of the ten-dollar bill. She got out a magnifying glass and we looked at all the different features of the bill, some of which can only be seen when it is held up to the light. We used the internet to look up what the features are for and how the serial numbers work. It was pretty interesting for me, too. But more than that, I just love the sense of wonder and “let’s find out” that we can cultivate in learning at home together.
