We had a couple unusual opportunities to use Lake Minnetonka in a different way: After visiting Minnehaha Creek, we popped over to the beach because Katie had not seen the high water yet and it had been too risky to swim at the creek. Everyone was excited to show Katie how the docks were underwater, allowing for a channel swim and more pier jumping. We never do these things later in the season because of how weedy it gets but it was the source of a lot of fun. The day before, we went to Robinson’s Bay just to see the high water and and saw the biggest waves we’ve witnessed there. The girls thought it was better than the wave pool at Valleyfair.
I am amazed at all the fun and unusual experiences we have had this spring!
